Frequently asked

If your question isn't here, write to us: hello@flipbooklab.com

How long should the video be?
5–10 seconds is ideal — that's what makes 120 pages flip comfortably. Shorter feels frantic; longer gets too thick to hold. You can trim the clip yourself after uploading.
Which formats work?
Anything your browser can play: MP4, MOV, WebM. Phone footage is usually fine. Keep it under 1080p and 100 MB — big files decode slowly.
How big is the book?
About 90 × 46 mm per page after cutting for landscape video (portrait is narrower and taller), including an 8 mm binding margin — roughly a business card — and 12–16 mm thick depending on page count and paper weight. It's printed on standard A4, eight pages per sheet.
Do I need a printer?
No — take the PDF to a print shop instead. A home inkjet or laser works too. Use 120gsm or heavier; 160gsm feels best. Thin paper curls after two flips.
How do I bind it?
Two staples along the spine, or a single bulldog clip. The PDF includes an illustrated page; the whole thing takes about twenty minutes.
Is my video uploaded?
No. Decoding and frame capture happen in your browser, so the video file stays on your device. Only when you order are the generated page images stored, so we can build your PDF or print your copy.
Can I get a refund?
The digital edition is an instant download and isn't refundable once downloaded — but if the file is broken or generation fails, we refund in full. Printed editions can be cancelled before production begins.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Enter your country at checkout; shipping is quoted separately and usually takes 7–15 working days. Any duties are the recipient's.
Can I make several copies?
Of course. The PDF prints as many times as you like, and you can set a quantity when ordering printed copies.
